We’re always working to make our Company a more diverse, equitable and inclusive (DEI) place for our employees and customers by listening to understand, appreciating each other’s point of view and creating a true sense of belonging.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION COUNCIL

In June of 2020, we established a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Council, whose goal is to guide our Company to become more equitable and inclusive by reflecting the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. We work to accomplish this by fully engraining DEI into our culture and the ways we operate. The Council established affiliations with organizations that have subject matter expertise to help us develop our Strategic Diversity Action Plan. We have been working steadfastly to execute this plan and make meaningful changes for our customers, employees and communities. Below demonstrates some of the actions our team has taken to deliver on our commitments. 

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT, PRODUCT AND MARKETING

Our Company has updated our appointment and rental booking systems to reflect the inclusive language our team members use when discussing the wedding party roles such as updating Best Man to Best Person and Groomsmen to Wedding Party Member.

Our Marketing team prioritizes diversity in front of and behind the camera through our models and vendors to ensure the Company’s advertising reflects the world our customers see around them. To learn more visit, the Media page.

WORKFORCE DIVERSIFICATION AND EDUCATION

In addition, the Tailored Brands’ Human Resources team has worked to track workforce demographics and our progress towards increasing representation across the business. We have also launched “Conscious Inclusion” and LGBTQIA+ Allyship training for our extended leadership group with plans to expand DEI training to all employees.

Recently, our Talent Acquisition team piloted a store management recruiting program at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to foster diverse talent pools.

Within our organization, we have introduced inclusive Employee Resource Groups including the Black Employee Network (B.E.N.), LGBTQIA+ and Women in Network (W.I.N.) with plans to launch more.

Our stores introduced a refreshed, more relaxed dress code that accommodates a greater variety of gender preferences and styles of expression so our employees can feel comfortable being their most authentic selves.

Here’s a brief summary of our employee benefit programs:

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Employee health and wellness is a key focus at Tailored Brands. That’s why we offer a number of benefits and programs that encourage employees to get healthy and stay healthy. We offer eligible employees a wide range of medical, dental and vision benefit plans that they can tailor to fit their particular health care needs. Non-smokers and non-tobacco users are rewarded for their healthy choice, and we offer that reward to any smokers or tobacco users who complete our company-sponsored cessation program as well.

We also offer our employees a comprehensive wellness program which gives them access to fitness and nutrition advice, as well as the ability to earn wellness dollars to pay for eligible medical expenses. Our Employee Assistance Program offers a variety of resources, tools and services to help, including free counseling sessions, employees and those in their households.

ADDITIONAL VOLUNTARY BENEFITS

We also want to help our employees plan for life events and emergencies as well as provide them opportunities to maximize their paychecks. To that end, during open enrollment, employees can choose to purchase life insurance, accident insurance, disability insurance and pre-paid legal services. Employees can also elect to participate in our 401(k) Savings Plan. We support employees to continue their education by reimbursing a portion of their eligible education expenses, and the Tailored Brands Family Educational Foundation Scholarship Program helps children of employees achieve their educational goals through college scholarships. We also offer financial assistance to help pay for the expensive costs of adoption. Finally, employees have the opportunity to participate in Tailored Brands Perks at Work which allows them to save money on large purchases as well as every-day items.

Employee Recognition

We believe recognition highlights great work, drives passion, encourages innovation and creates a positive workplace. We offer employees on-the-spot recognition tools and an online peer-to-peer recognition platform to foster a culture of appreciation.

Employee Training and Enrichment Programs

Our history of internal promotion is a key component of our Company. In our stores, employees are encouraged to continuously build upon their skills through our available learning resources. Training programs range from hands-on in-store training to on-demand micro-learning modules through our virtual Tailored Learning Center. Completing these programs allows them to perform their current responsibilities to their full potential while also preparing for future growth opportunities.

Employee Engagement Survey

We are committed to asking questions, listening and taking action at all levels to foster an engaging workplace and a culture of feedback. We survey our employees to measure and improve employee engagement and satisfaction. These insights help us shape our people and culture strategies. 

THE WILLIE LOPEZ EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE EMERGENCY FUND

The Willie Lopez Emergency Assistance Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported primarily by Tailored Brands’ employees who donate money to help their fellow coworkers experiencing financial emergencies caused by unforeseen and catastrophic situations. The Fund was started in honor of Willie Lopez, a highly regarded District Manager, who died unexpectedly, leaving his wife and four young children in a desperate financial situation. Since supporting the Lopez family in 1997, the Willie Lopez Fund has provided more than $11 million of assistance to thousands of Tailored Brands’ grant recipients. 

In 2023, the Fund provided significant relief to our colleagues with more than $709,000 spent on assistance – the most ever in a year without a mass catastrophic event.  This is largely thanks to the generosity of our people. Annually, thousands of employees contribute to the Fund to help support team members in need.
