HOUSTON, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The Men’s Wearhouse (NYSE: MW) and Vera Wang announce an exclusive partnership to launch Black by Vera Wang, a new tuxedo rental collection.

Designed by renowned fashion industry icon, Vera Wang, and exclusively available at Men’s Wearhouse, one of the largest men’s specialty apparel retailers in the US, the Black by Vera Wang collection will provide an exceptional quality of rental tuxedos at an accessible price point.

The inaugural collection will initially offer two modern tuxedo styles, with one style in black and the second style in gray.  Both tuxedos will feature a contemporary fit, via a slightly shorter 30.5″ coat length (versus the 31″ standard length) and narrow 2 1/2″ lapel, which will provide a modern, sophisticated look.  Ultra-lightweight fabrication will allow for a superior drape and luxe feel.

The black tuxedo will feature a two-button notch, grosgrain lapel with side vents.  Flat-front pant will feature a grosgrain stripe detail. The gray style will include a two-button, satin edge notch lapel with side vents and a classic, flat-front pant.

The opening price point for the rental collection is $219.99 for a complete outfit, with both styles offered in standard fit, slim fit and “big & tall” sizing.

“For more than twenty years, I have shared my design vision with women around the world, so it is exciting to now have the opportunity to share that with men as well,” said Vera Wang. “With an exceptional reputation as one the largest men’s specialty retailers, Men’s Wearhouse was a natural retail partner for the Black by Vera Wang collection.”

“As one of the world’s most celebrated designers, we are pleased to partner with Vera Wang for the Black by Vera Wang collection,” said Doug Ewert, CEO of Men’s Wearhouse, Inc.  “Men’s Wearhouse has always been a leader in the men’s specialty retail industry, and this exclusive partnership will allow us to continue providing our customers with high quality and reputable brands.”

The Black by Vera Wang collection will launch exclusively in all Men’s Wearhouse retail stores in the US and Moores Clothing for Men retail stores in Canada in late Spring 2012.
